Debra Bass

Director of Communications

Debra Bass is Director of Communications for the Vice Chancellor of Research and Innovation and the Office of Research and Innovation. She is a strategic communications leader with over a decade of experience in internal and external communications, content strategy and media relations. Debra has a proven track record of driving engagement, managing high-impact communication programs and collaborating with executive teams to achieve organizational goals. Debra's first career was in journalism and she's a national award winner for digital and print news content. She received her bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and earned the APR (Accredited in Public Relations) designation from the Public Relations Society of America.
