Shanda Hunt

Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research Compliance and Integrity

Shanda Hunt is the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research Compliance and Integrity at UC San Diego. She joins UC San Diego from the University of California Office of the President (UCOP), where she served as the Systemwide Associate Director of Compliance. With over 20 years of experience in legal, compliance, audit, and research administration, she now leads the Research Compliance and Integrity office at UC San Diego. A holder of a bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley and a juris doctorate from Berkeley Law, she is both a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) and a Certified Healthcare Research Compliance Professional. Assistant Vice Chancellor Hunt's expertise will guide UC San Diego's research enterprise, ensuring the highest standards of ethical and compliant conduct in alignment with the UC mission of excellence in teaching, research, and public service.
