April 29, 2008 - Policy on Tobacco Industry Funding of Research at UC
In September 2007, the University of California Board of Regents
approved a resolution (RE-89) that requires special review, approval and
reporting procedures for submission of UC campus research proposals that
seek funding from tobacco industry sponsors. The details and the

The Climate and Sustainability Institute Working Group has recently issued a report recommending that the campus commit itself to creating an Institute for Climate and Sustainability Solutions, incorporating research and scholarship from the entire campus. View Report
